Installation & Testing
Installing a PSU is pretty simple, simply install the PSU with four screws to the case, connect up the modular cables you will need and plug everything in.
To test the power supply we ran OCCT’s PSU test for a 30 minute interval, running at fullscreen (1920×1200). Here are the results:
3.3V
5V
12V
All of the rails were pretty stable and stayed around a 1% ripple. The 3.3V had a ripple of 0.03V (0.95%), the 5V had a ripple of 0.05 (0.93%) and finally the 12V had a little more ripple at 0.17 (1.28%). Comparing this up with the 80PLUS Platinum efficiency rating (averaging at 91.27% overall) and you have yourself a reliable power supply.
