Kingston HyperX Savage Memory Overview
As I mentioned in the introduction of this review we received the HX324C11SRK2/16 kit which is a 16GB dual channel kit made up of two 8GB modules. Each module runs at 2400 MHz with timings of 11-13-14 at 1.65V.
Each module adorns a new redesigned red heatspreader, which I think looks great. On one side you have both the HyperX and Savage logos.
The opposite side is plain except for a sticker that shows all of the relevant information on the kit. Something that is good to have if you happen to forget which kit you have or the timings.
The two sides of the heatspreaders meet at the top of the module and have a sort of ventilated design. There is also a HyperX logo on the top of the top of the modules so if you do have a windowed case people will be able to see that.
The heatspeaders come up above the top of the modules just a little bit, but you shouldn’t see any clearance issues at all. These modules also have a black PCB, which really good with the red heatspreaders.
