Kingston HyperX Limited Edition DDR3-1600 4GB Dual Channel Memory Kit Review

Final Thoughts
This memory kit is a great all around memory kit, especially for people who want good performance memory that they can just put in their system and they are done with.  Like most memory these days it does have the X.M.P. profile so all you have to do is go into your BIOS and enable it and your memory will be running at the advertised speed and timings.  The stock speed of this memory is 1600MHz with low 7-8-7-20 timings, so that is good for any system these days.

Because the memory does have the low timings and is only at 1600MHz it gives you a lot of headroom to overclock.  I was able to easily bring this memory all the way up to 2133MHz by simply loosening the timings.  I’m sure I could get it even higher if I really spent some time overclocking.

The black heatspreaders with the silver accent have a cool look to them and will look great with pretty much any motherboard.  They are a tad bit larger than normal heatspreaders so you may want to keep that in mind when purchasing this kit.  Talking about purchasing this kit is is very hard to find.  I was unable to find it anywhere online for sale.  Kingston has said this kit is mainly being sold overseas (Russia/Eastern Europe) so I guess that is where you find it.
