Kingston HyperX 3K 240GB Solid State Drive Review

Testing – ATTO Disk Benchmark & CrystalDiskMark
Next up we have ATTO Disk Benchmark that measures transfer rates across specific lengths.  ATTO uses RAW data, our transfer sizes ranged from 0.5 to 8192kb.  ATTO is usually our definitive benchmark for solid state drives.

The HyperX 3K performance puts it towards the top of the pack, which is very impressive.

CrystalDiskMark is our next test and it has a sequential read / write test as well as a 512k and 4k random read / write test.  When testing solid state drives make sure you are running this test at 0 Fill, which uses compressible data.

  1. Thanks for this nice review! I am getting confused about finding the best SSD. Every website is claiming their reviewed SSD is the best and give it their “Editors’ Choice” trophy. But anyway, your review inspired me to add this drive in my “best SSDs in 2012”, thanks.
