KFA2 has just announced a new special edition of its GeForce GTX 980 HOF graphics card that has been designed by professional overclocker 8Pack. This card will be one of the highest clock GTX 980’s out of the box with a core clock of 1304 MHz and GPU boost up to 1440 MHz. The memory will remain untouched at 7.0 GHz (effective). This is compared to reference clocks of 1127 MHz core and 1216 MHz GPU boost of the GTX 980.
The card has a custom PCB with a very strong VRM that draws power from a pair of 8pin PCI-Express power connectors. The cooling solution features three cooling fans, two of which have the 8Pack logo on them, a large aluminum fin-stack heatsink with heatpipes and a black and silver shroud. The card features a dual-BIOS with manual switching at the back of the card by way of a switch.
The card is available now, but not in the US. You can pick it up at OverclockersUK for £589.99 inc VAT. This card also qualifies for NVIDIA’s new game bundle.
