Intel Haswell Refresh Lineup For Q2 2014 Unveiled

As expected Intel is planning to launch their Haswell refresh processor lineup in Q2 of 2014. Nothing really new is being added to the architecture except clock speed improvements. VR-Zone has revealed the full Core i7 Haswell refresh lineup and starts with the Core i7-4790 leading the way.

Intel will be launching seven new Haswell refresh processors. These include the Core i7-4790, Core i7-4690, Core i5-4590, Core i7-4660, two lower TDP variants with the “T” suffix and a low voltage variant with the “S” suffix. These new processors will be compatible with the LGA 1150 socket and both Intel 8-Series and 9-Series chipsets.

The flagship Core i7-4790 will be replacing the Core i7-4770 and will bring with it a 100 MHz clock speed bump. This means it will run at 3.6 GHz base with a turbo speed of 4.0 GHz. The Core i7-4690 will replace the Core i7-4670 with clock speed adjustments of 3.5 GHz and 3.9 GHz turbo. You can see the rest of the speeds in the below image.

Prices are said to remain the same as the current processors as these chips would be effectively replacing them. For those waiting for the K-Series chip Intel should be launching them in Q3 of 2014.
