Intel Compute Stick Now Available for Pre-Order

We first got a look at Intel’s Compute Stick at CES back in January. It is a tiny computer with an HDMI connector on one end. You can plug it into the HDMI port on your TV or monitor and you have an all-in-one desktop that can run Windows or Linux. The device is expected to be available later this month and a few retailers are taking pre-orders.

Newegg is selling the compute stick with Windows 8.1, 2 GB of RAM, and 32 GB of storage for $150. The Linux model is $110. Amazon has the device listed, but the specs are listed at 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage.
