In Win Maelstrom Full Tower Chassis Review

Internal Overview

Removing the side panel shows that it is entirely covered, minus the mesh, of sound reducing foam. It also reveals the back of the 220mm fan and the inside of the case, which just so happens to be entirely black.

More sound reducing foam is found on the other panel on the space between the bottom of the case and the motherboard tray. Four rubber placers surround a mesh for power supply airflow. An extra two rubber placers can be added for extended length power supplies.

The front of the case houses a hard drive cage, facing towards the side panel, holding up to six 3.5″ drives. Above that is another 3.5″ tray facing towards the inside of the case. The five 5.25″ external drive bays also sit on top of those. One bay has a 5.25″ to 3.5″ converter, while another houses the drive rails needed for installation.

Along the back of the case are the seven expansion slots with air holes along with the extra air holes around it. Above that you’ll also find two 120mm green bladed fans, one on the rear panel and one on the top panel.

  1. Cool looking case but the non-removable right side cover makes wire management virtually impossible. Also I'm not sure why they bothered putting acoustic foam in a case like this,

  3. The sound absorbing foam is a great addition to the case, as it will lower the noise coming from the case. Also most cases around this price range do not have this feature. I do dislike the fact that they added a handle on the front that serves no purpose, and feel that it makes it look uglier, so either remove it, or make it have a purpose. Overall, still pretygood
