Online gaming can be casual or ultra-competitive. With that there will always be people who are looking to competitive edge in such games. Now that could mean going out and buying the best keyboard and mouse, or using hacks and cheats. We all know that hackers and cheaters ruin online gameplay. Well if you plan on cheating in Blizzard’s latest game Overwatch and get caught you will be permabanned.
Over on the Overwatch forum community manager Lylirra reminded us that one of Blizzard’s core values is “play nice; play fair”. With these values they have developed a support plan to ensure that everyone playing their games can have an enjoyable experience. In a recent post Lylirra explains:
“If a player is found to be cheating—or using hacks, bots, or third-party software that provides any sort of unfair advantage—that player will be permanently banned from the game. Full stop.”
The post continues on to tell you how you can report cheating and things you want to keep in mind when reporting a cheating player. Overwatch is scheduled to be released May 24th, will you be playing?
