MB881U3-1SA EZ-Dock Overview
The MB881U3-1SA does not like look the typical hard drive dock. It has a very unique design and would look really cool on your desk. I think that this is the biggest thing that sets this hard drive dock apart from the others out there.
The main part of the dock is made up a cradle that will hold your SATA drive. Towards the bottom is the SATA power and data connection, which your drive easily slides in to. Also on the front of the dock is a small power button.
This dock also support both 3.5-inch and 2.5-inch IDE drives as well. There are connections for each on either side of the cradle. At the top of the cradle there is a molex connection to give power to your IDE drives.
The entire cradle is help up the green support arm. This arm is not made of plastic but metal, so it will nicely support your hard drive when it’s on the dock. The bottom of this arm has 3 rubber feet on it that will help keep the entire dock from moving on your desk. This arm can be removed from the cradle so you can use the IDE connections.
On right side of the cradle is the power connection. On the other side you have the USB 3.0 connection. It is the micro USB 3.0 connector that we have seen on many new USB 3.0 devices.
