HTC Partnering With GameStop & Microsoft to Bring VR Demos In Stores

All we have been hearing about lately is Virtual Reality. While it may look really cool on paper and all of the videos on the internet are pretty awesome it is something that you need to experience yourself. You really will never know what VR is actually like without trying it. This can be an issue for some people as they might not want to fork out the money for a VR headset just yet and they do not live where there are VR-focused events.

HTC Vive

GameStop wants to change this and they are partnering with HTC to let everyone have the chance to give VR at try. This of course is a great sales tool for HTC as it will allow users who might need a little convincing that extra push to purchase a HTC Vive VR headset. GameStop is not the only one partnering with HTC, Microsoft also plans to have HTC Vive headsets available in their physical stores.

GameStop plans to have demos in 10 different locations by the middle of April. The first VR demos for Microsoft will be in their flagship store in New York city, Bellevue Square in Washington State and one in City Creek Center located in Utah. They plan to have demos available in 30 store by the end of the year.

This is definitely a big push by HTC to get VR in the hands of more people and to have more people experience the technology. Be sure to check out the HTC Vive website to see if there will be a VR demo in your area.
