HTC 10 Smartphone Review

HTC 10 Smartphone Overview
The HTC 10 is what I would call the average size for a smartphone. The official dimensions are 2.83in x 5.70in x 0.35in (WxHxD), which means you can still easily fit the phone in your pocket. The phone nice a nice aluminum chassis design. When you pick it up you can definitely tell it is made of metal. The back has a slightly curved design, which makes it very easy to pick up and the aluminum feels good on your hand. The official weight of 5.68oz makes the phone easy to carry as well.

On the back of the phone you are going to find the main camera. It is a 1/2.3-inch, 12-megapixel sensor with a 1.55 μm pixels and wide, f/1.8 lens. The camera features optical image stabilization and laser auto-focus.

The front of the HTC 10 boasts a 5.2-inch 1440 x 2560 pixel Quad HD display. This display is very bright and everything on the display is very easy to read. Below the screen is a capacitive touch home button with a fingerprint scanner embedded in it. On the left side of the home button is a back touch button and on the right you have a menu touch button. These buttons are only illuminated when you are using the phone. The front of the camera of course has a selfie camera which is a 5.0-megapixel camera with f/1.8 lens and optical image stabilization.

Taking a look at the phone from the side we can see just how thin the phone is at 0.35-inches. On the right side of the phone you are going to find a power button, volume rocker, and microSDXC card slot. According to Verizon the phone supports up to 2 TB microSD cards.

On the bottom of the phone you will find the new USB-C connector. This is something you are going to start seeing on many new phones. Sadly it means you cannot use just any USB cable with this phone. For those wondering the USB-C cable supplied with the phone is USB-C to USB-A so you can connect it to any USB charger or USB port on your PC.

The top of the phone has a single headphone connector. I like that it is at the top of the phone for easy access, especially if I have the phone in my pocket.
