HBM2 Powered Titan-X Successor Coming In April

It has been reported that in April at NVIDIA’s GPU Technology conference we will see the biggest GPU NVIDIA’s has ever made! It will be the sucessor to the GeForce GTX Titan X. The card would likely be called the GeForce GTX Titan X2 and will feature HBM2 with scaling up 16-32GB with 1TB/s of memory bandwidth!

NVIDIA GeForce GTX Titan X

We know that NVIDIA will be releasing both HBM2 and GDDR5X graphics cards this year. This should kick off with the Titan X successor, then later in the year towards June we should see a new GP104-based GeForce GTX 980 successor that is based on GDDR5X. We expect the GTX 980 Ti successor to come later in the year as it is needed, much like how NVIDIA did it with the current GTX 980 Ti. This card will be based off HBM2.

This year is set to be one of the most exciting years for GPU development we’ve seen in a while!
