Half-Life 3 Officially Trademarked

The Half-Life series has been around for the longest time and when it comes to first person shooters, especially single player games Half-Life 2 is always mentioned when talking about one of the best games and storylines. So many of us have waited for a sequel year after year and there has been no announcement from Valve at all. While it may be a far off for the game to actually be released or even announced it has been discovered that Valve has filed for the trademark “Half-Life 3” in both English and French.

The official paperwork says that the trademark is for “Computer game software; Electronic game software; Downloadable computer game software via a global computer network and wireless devices; video game software.”

Half-Life 3 Officially Trademarked

With Valve announcing SteamOS, Steam Machines and the Steam Controller this past week it makes sense for Valve to have a “launch” title to help boost sales and exposure of these products. All we know right now is that Valve has filed for the trademark, so we expect development is still a far way off. All I know is if this game ever does come out I am getting it!
