As advanced as the Iphone is, you'd thing it would have at least a 2x optical zoom. They don't even have a digital zoom feature unless you download a 3rd party app.

The lens is used to magnify things that are very close like business cards, we included images taken with and without the lens in the review. My thing with the lens is that it does not lock in place, which I did not like.

Well, if the lens doesn't lock in place what's the point of the lens? And you're assessment of the lens confused me,

"The lens isn’t a simple junk lens either, it actually does the job it is made to do and very well. I would have liked to see the lens actually stay in place though, I found myself having to hold it in place so it wouldn’t move when I was using it."

So, it's not a piece of junk but it doesn't stay in place. It sounds like a piece of junk to me. You don't even mention if it's a glass lens or a plastic one which could (and will) get scratched over time.
