Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H Intel Z77 Motherboard Review

We have been hearing a lot about Intel’s 3rd generation Core processors and the Z77 chipset.  The Z77 chipset is made to be an upgrade from the current Z68 chipset.  Using many of the same technologies as the Z68 chipset the Z77 also adds support for the Virtu Universal MVP, native USB 3.0 support, Smart Connect and Rapid Start.  Today we are taking a look at our first motherboard based on the Intel Z77 chipset the Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H.  This motherboard is one of the twelve Z77 motherboards Gigabyte has announced.  It is set to be their mainstream Z77 offering so let’s just right in and take a look.

Packaging
The Z77X-UD3H comes in a nice retail box that looks a lot like the one the X79-UD3 came in.  On the front it list some of the features of the board such as 3D Power, 3D BIOS and Ultra Durable 4.  Flipping the box over there is an overview of many of the different features of the board.

Opening the box up inside you will find the I/O shield, SLI bridge, 2 bags of SATA cables, drivers and applications DVD and the user’s manual.
