Gigabyte X58A-UD5 Intel X58 Motherboard Review

Testing – USB 3.0
USB 3.0 is the new thing and you should see it on every new motherboard that comes out from now on.  The X58A-UD5 has 2 USB 3.0 ports on the back with super fast transfer rates of up to 5 Gbps.  To test how fast USB 3.0 is we used the Thermaltake BlacX and the BlacX 5G with the Patriot Inferno 120GB hard drive.

Here are the results from both the USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 tests.

As you can see USB 3.0 sure speeds things up!
