Gigabyte Rolls out WindForce R9 290X and R9 290 Cards

We all got to know of the new releases of the GV-R929XOC-4GD (Radeon R9 290X) and GV-R929OC-4GD (Radeon R9 290) through the official Gigabyte website. Without any prior notice, the company straight away published details on the website regarding the new custom-cooled and factory-over locked graphics cards which are powered by AMD’s Hawaii GPU. No announcements had been made about these graphics cards till this point and there is still no mention of the pricing.

There have also been some pictures of the graphics cards and websites have taken out a handful of details from these images alone. Both the cards feature the dual-slot WindForce 3X 450W cooling solution which is a group of three fans, 6 mm and 8 mm heat pipes. The cards also come equipped with PCI-Express 3.0 x16 interface, a GPU clock of 1040 MHz and have a GDDR5 VRAM of 4 GB which is spread across a 512-bit memory interface.
