Gigabyte Intros the GeForce GTX 1070 WindForce 2X

Gigabyte has added a new GeForce GTX 1070 to its lineup in the GTX 1070 WindForce OC (model: GV-N1070WF2OC-8GD). This card will feature a custom design with the WindForce 2X cooling solution, which is a much simpler design than the WindForce 3X that the GTX 1070 G1.Gaming ships with. The cooler features a pair of 90 mm fans and a more compact twin aluminum-fin stack heatsink.

The card has a slight factory overclock, when in “OC Mode” you have 1582 MHz core and 1771 MHz GPU Boost, when in “Gaming Mode” you have a core clock of 1556 MHz and a GPU boost of 1746 MHz. This is against the NVIDIA reference clocks of 1506 MHz core and 1683 MHz GPU Boost. The memory on the card is left untouched at 8.00 GHz (GDDR5-effective). The card draws power from a single 8-pin PCI-Express power connector and display outputs include three DisplayPort 1.4, one HDMI 2.0b, and one dual-link DVI.

The card is expected to be one of Gigabyte’s most cost-effective and we priced closed to the $379 base price for the GTX 1070.
