Hardcore overclockers do things quite different than normal consumers. When it comes to overclocking memory most hardcore overclocking will remove the stock heatspreaders that come with memory. Sometimes when you do that you’ll accidentally pull off an IC. GeIL wants to make the process much easier with their new Dragon Series DDR4 memory.
What they have done is created memory kits that do not come with heatspreaders. These kits are still engineer for great clock speeds, but are made for those who are going to be installing their own custom cooling solutions. On top of that GeIL has made the modules white with a cool Dragon logo on them. Expect to see these modules sometime in the February-March time-frame.
