With NVIDIA’s new second-generation Maxwell-based graphics cards out for a few weeks we were waiting for the insane overclocks and benchmarks scores and now we have a world record 3DMark Fire Strike Extreme score by a heavily overclocked GeForce GTX 980.
Elmor, an overclocker with the SweClockers.com team used an ASUS GeForce GTX 980 DirectCU II graphics card and clocked the GPU all the way up to 2208 MHz, which is a 81.58% increase. The GDDR5 on the card was also overclocked by 19.27% to 8392 MHz. Elmor of course used LN2 to keep things nice and cool and he had the core voltage cranked all the way up to 1.2120V.
