Last month NVIDIA released their GeForce GTX 780 graphics card and since then many different manufacturers have released non-reference and overclocked versions of the card. Galaxy unveiled their own non-reference GeForce GTX 780 HOF edition which featured a very cool all white PCB. Well HKEPC’s Mr. Wong has shattered records by overclocking the card past previous records!
Mr. Wong was able to bring the core clock all the way up to 1894 MHz, which is just insane! The 3GB of GDDR5 was also brought up to 7.4 GHz (effective), which again is a great feat! The voltage on the card was pumped up to 1.55V with LN2 cooling which kept temperatures at extremely low levels of -120C.
The card was benchmarked at the highest clock speeds in 3D Mark’s cloud gate benchmark scoring 40933 marks. A GeForce GTX Titan scores around 30000 marks in this test and a Radeon HD 7990 scores 35-38K so that is a world record for a single-GPU card!
Mr. Wong also tested other benchmarks, but had to lower the clocks due to instability. Below are the results.
