G.Skill Ripjaws4 Overview
Taking the modules out of the package we have a total of four modules. Since this is a 16 GB kit that means each modules is 4 GB. As you could have guessed this is a quad-channel memory kit.
Taking a closer look at the modules, on one side you have a large sticker that has the Ripjaws4 and G.Skill logos. The heatspreaders on the modules are black, but you can also get them in blue and red to best match the other components in your system.
The top of the heatspeaders have a pretty cool design, but does not extend that much higher than the actual modules themselves. The height of the modules are 40 mm or 1.58-inches so you shouldn’t have issues with clearance for your CPU cooler.
Flipping the modules over there is a small sticker on each that tells us all of the information that we need to know about this memory kit. It is the F4-2400C15Q-16GRK kit, runs at DDR4-2400 (2400 MHz) speeds, has timings of 15-15-15-35 at 1.2v and is XMP 2.0 ready.
Taking a look at the ends of the modules you can see as I mentioned that the heatspeaders are not much taller than the modules themselves. You can also see the black PCB, which looks great.
