Fractal Design Integra R2 750W Power Supply Review

Final Thoughts
When it comes to looking for a “budget” power supply there are quite a few different choices out there, but so many companies decide to really skimp out on the features and quality of their lower-end units. I think Fractal Design has done a great job providing a quality-made power supply that does still have great performance given its price tag.

Fractal Design’s higher-end units have modular cables and features like over temperature protection, but for most people those are non-issues. Modular cables are cool, but once you have your unit installed and system up and running are modular cables all that big of a deal? Voltage regulation was not the best we have seen, but again for the price you cannot expect perfect rails. With that said the voltage regulation was well within the 5% deviation that we like to see on any power supply and actually all rails never went over 2%. This power supply also has an 80PLUS Bronze certification, which means it will operate at 82%/85%/82% efficiency at 20%/50%/100% loads.

Fractal Design was still able to include their cool embossed “snowflake” logo on the top of the unit and there logo on the side is very attractive. Design-wise this unit seems much like Fractal-Design’s higher-end offerings. If you are on a budget the Fractal Design Integra R2 is great choice in a power supply. The 750W version that we reviewed today selling for under $80 online. Overall ThinkComputers gives the Fractal Design Integra R2 power supply an 8 out of 10 score and our Good Value Award!
