Fractal Design Define Mini mATX Case Review

Installation
So what will we be installing in the Define Mini?  Check out the list below…

Intel Core i7-965 Extreme Processor
ASUS Rampage III Gene Intel X58 Motherboard
Sapphire Radeon HD 6850
6GB OCZ Memory
OCZ ZX Series 850W Power Supply
4 SATA Hard Drives
Cooler Master V6 GT CPU Cooler

The first thing we want to do is install the motherboard.  It easy goes right in and we secure it with screws.

Next you are going to want to route most of your cables and install your power supply.  It easily slides in to the bottom of the case.  Finally install your video card.  I like that there is no tool-less system here either, I’m not a fan of tool-less locking systems for video cards.

If we move around back you can see how we have routed our cables.  Hopefully we will be able to close the side panel.  Also here you can see how large the CPU cutout is, we would have no problems installing an aftermarket CPU here.

Oh wait we forgot to install the hard drives!  Each of the six trays easily slide out for you to install your drives.  Each tray supports both 2.5-inch and 3.-50inch drives, but we will only be installing 3.5-inch drives.  All you do is take a tray out, line up the holes on on the bottom and screw your drive in.  Then simply slide they tray back in and connect your drive.  Finally you can see everything nicely installed.
