Cygnett WorkMate Pro iPhone 4 Case Review

Overview
We received the black and grey version of the WorkMate Pro, but it also comes in black and orange.  This is actually a 2 part case, so the grey part is the silicone part and the black part is the polycarbonate.  This dual-layer design provides extremely great protection.  These 2 parts can be taken apart for installation of your iPhone, but we will see that a little bit later.

The case itself is not super bulky, but a little larger than most iPhone 4 cases.  The silicone part actually will cover the bottom part of the front of your phone where the home button is.

As far as the openings on the case everything is open so you have access to the dock connector, mute button and headphone connection.  There are buttons for the volume and power buttons.

Looking at the back of the case you can see the camera and flash have more than enough room to operate.  Cygnett has done something really cool with the back of this case.  First you can see the design on the back of the case.  This is from the silicone case sticking out of the slots in the polycarbonate case.  So when you set you phone down it does not slide around on the table.  This also makes it very easy to pickup and hold the phone.

  1. had this case today for my iphone 4S and i am having flash issues. the photos are washed out when using flash most evident on most of the left side and lower left hand corner. i’m interested to know how the reviewer tested the camera and flash with the case on to say there wasn’t any issues with it.

  2. We tested the camera using the flash in no-light, low-light and full light situations, taking around 3-4 photos on each test.  In our testing all photos came out very clear.  Did you try cleaning the lens and flash before you put the case on?

  3. I’m having the same problem with iphone 4s and the Cygnett case. Case on = washed out photos with flash. Case off, no problems.

  4. Hi, I just bought your WorkMate Pro in Malaysia. On the package it says it’s compatible for iPhone 4S but it actually doesn’t. And I only realized it after taking it home. When taking picture that requires flash, the flash is reflected back to the camera sensor which creates a washed out picture. The problem is solved if I remove the case. I though your company should have done better testing before labeling it as compatible with iPhone 4S! And I paid quite a hefty sum at Machines Gardens KL for this case. I would want a refund for this.

  5. What a bad review. Short, it doesnt put the iPhone in the case, kind of barbarian how he opens the case, no close ups to the product, etc… Improvised.
