Testing – System
I really wanted to see how well the cooling was on this system, especially since so many people were complaining about high temperatures with Ivy Bridge processors. So I ran Prime95 overnight to see how hot the system would get. Below are both the results for idle and load temperatures.

Our first system tests are PCMark 7 and PCMark Vantage. They are pretty much the standard for overall system tests.

To test the speed of the installed hard drives we used Sandra’s Physical Disks benchmark.

Up next is PassMark Performance Test 7.0. This benchmark runs 7 different tests that comprises all of the components in your system.

Geekbench provides a comprehensive set of benchmarks engineered to quickly and accurately measure processor and memory performance. Designed to make benchmarks easy to run and easy to understand, Geekbench takes the guesswork out of producing robust and reliable benchmark results.
