Final Thoughts
It is about time we see low profile performance memory!  I test a lot of CPU coolers and you would be surprised at how many cover the memory slots.  If the memory you are using has a heatspreader that is larger than the modules it is unlikely that it is going to fit.  Now with these modules I do not have to worry about that at all.  There is other low profile memory out there, but they normally do not have heatspreaders on them.  With this kit you get the same high quality heatspreader that is on the normal-sized Ballistix Tactical memory.  This means your memory is going to stay nice and cool.

Since you have nice heatspreaders overclocking is going to made much easier as your modules are not going to get as hot.  Also the fact that these are lower voltage (1.35v) means you are going to be able to get a pretty good overclock.  I was able to push these modules from their stock 1600MHz with timings of 8-8-8-24 to 2133MHz with timings of 10-10-10-30.  Not bad at all!

Even though the heatspreader is small Crucial still manages to make it look good matching it with the normal Ballistix Tactical style.  A very bright yellow heatspreader and a black PCB.  These modules will look good in any system.  Getting this memory setup is extremely easy just select the XMP profile in your BIOS and you are good to go.
