Ballistix Tactical Low Profile Memory Overview
The Ballistix Tactical LP memory looks almost identical to Crucial’s normal Ballistix Tactical memory except that it is much smaller.  It’s not just like  Crucial redesigned the heatspreader to be smaller the actual PCB is smaller as well.  This is truly a low profile design.

If you are not familiar with Crucial’s Ballistix Tactical memory each module features a very nice and vibrant yellow heatspreader with the Ballistix logo in the center and the Crucial logo at the top left.  The PCB is black, which goes really well with the yellow.

Because the actual PCB of the memory has been made smaller Crucial is still able to use their high performance heatspreaders on these modules.  The heatspreader does come up above the PCB a little bit, but since these modules are low profile you are not going to have to worry about that at all!
