Crucial Ballistix Tactical DDR4-3000 32GB Memory Kit Review

Final Thoughts
Crucial never seems to disappoint when it comes to their memory, especially the Ballistix line. As I said the Ballistix Tactical sits between the Ballistix Elite and the Ballistix Sport memory and is a great choice for gamers and enthusiasts alike. Crucial outfits this kit with some pretty low timings for a 3000 MHz kit. This allows the kit to perform at the top of our test group at its stock settings.

I was quite surprised how easy this kit was to overclock. Typically when you get to 3000 MHz or above with DDR4 many kits are tapped out, but with this kit I was able to get up to 3333 MHz without changing the timings or voltage. That is pretty impressive and I bet we could have got even higher if we loosened the timings and upped the voltage.

While so many kits these days are going for super-flashy looks this kit is more subtle and has simple design. The gunmetal heatspreaders will go with pretty much any build and they are sort of designed to look like a part of a rifle, hence the name Ballistix Tactical.

Like all Crucial memory this kit comes with a lifetime warranty, so that should put your mind as ease. Right now this kit is selling at our favorite online retailer for $278.94. Overall ThinkComputers gives the Crucial Ballistix Tactical DDR4-3000 32GB Memory Kit a 10 out of 10 score and our Editor’s Choice Award!
