A new crowd-funded startup called Crono Labs has launched a campaign on Indiegogo to turn your monitor with a VESA mount into a monstrous gaming PC. Their product is a lightweight micro-ATX case that mounts on the back of your monitor over standard VESA mounts.
The C1 Computer Case can hold either a micro-ATX or Mini-ITX motherboard, standard ATX power supply, two 3.5-inch hard drives, 2.5-inch hard drives, and a 2-slot graphics card. The graphics card is arranged to sit along the plane of the motherboard, rather than perpendicular to it, using a PCI-Express riser. The case has room for graphics cards as long as 10.5-inches.
The case comes with a very strong and sturdy stand so you don’t have to worry about using the stand that comes with your display. The case has ventilation holes on both side and the top and even a carrying handle to you can easily pick it up and take it with you to a LAN party.
Crono Labs is only seeking $2000 to get prototypes built. They are already half-way to that goal on their Indiegogo campaign.
