Today Corsair is announcing their brand new K70 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard. We are big fans of Corsair’s Vengeance line of gaming keyboards, the Vengeance K90 was our overall winner of best keyboard of 2012. The K70 is built on the same bushed aluminum chassis as the other Vengeance boards and will feature Cherry MX Red mechanical switches under each key. The K70 will also feature a 100% anti-ghosted matrix, 1000Hz reporting rate, and 20-key rollover.
Corsair is doing something a little different with the K70, they are offering it in two different colors. You have the traditional silver aluminum with blue backlighting and now you have the new anodized black with red backlighting. There are 4 different lighting levels and each key is individually backlit. This means you can enable or disable lighting for each key individually. The 90 also comes with alternate contoured keycaps for the WASD keys and 1-6 keys. There is an extra USB port on the keyboard so you can use that for your mouse or headset.
The K70 will make its public debut at Corsair’s booth at PAX East in Boston from March 22-24. Expect to see the K70 available in April for $129.99.
