Corsair Vengeance DDR3-1600 8GB Dual Channel Memory Kit Review

Final Thoughts
I am very pleased with the new line of Vengeance line of memory kits from Corsair.  You always know you are getting a quality product when you choose Corsair and the Vengeance kit we received was no different.  Corsair stands behind this product with a lifetime warranty, which is very impressive!  The kit looks great and is very visually appealing.

As far as performance goes this kit rocks!  They are definitely better than some no-name brand of DDR3 and run at a lower voltage so you are able to push them quite a bit.  I was able to get these sticks running at 2000MHz stable, which is a 400MHz overclock!  The lower voltage of 1.5V allows you to increase the voltage so you can really push this memory to its limit.

The only real issue you may have with this memory as well as other memory with large heatspreaders is that they may get in the way of your CPU cooler.  Since I only had a single dual channel kit I did not run into this issue, but if I had 2 kits installed I would have had to use a different CPU cooler than my Thermaltake Frio.

As I said Corsair has these modules aggressively priced and the 8GB kit that we reviewed is going for $129 at my favorite online retailer, which is a great price considering the lifetime warranty and lower voltage.  Overall ThinkComputers gives the Corsair Vengeance DDR3-1600 8GB Dual Channel Memory Kit a 9 out of 10 score and our Good Value Award!
