When it comes to power supplies there are always a few names I always recommend and Corsair is typically at the top of my list. I still find it quite impressive that Corsair has transitioned from a memory to producing some of the best cases, power supplies, AiO watercoolers and more. Corsair’s HXi Series power supplies and designed with gamers and enthusiasts in mind. Each HXi model features 80PLUS Platinum certification, Corsair Link compatibility, and a Zero RPM fan which means it will not even spin up at medium and low loads. Today we will be taking a look at the flagship unit the HX1200i, which if you can guess is the 1200W unit. Let’s jump in!
The HX1200i comes in Corsair’s typical retail packaging, which is always very informative. On the front there is a photo of the unit, and it lets us know some of the main features which include 80PLUS Platinum certification. a 7 year warranty, Corsair link compatibility, and ultra low noise.
At the top of the box there is a listing of the different connectors. This is great as you might need a certain number of connectors for your system and it is great to have this on the box so if you are at the store you know right there.
On the back of the box there is even more information on the unit itself and it shows us the efficiency and fan noise graphs.
Getting everything out of the box we have the HX1200i unit, a bag of modular cables, power cable, mounting screws, cable ties, a corsair case badge, users guide, and warranty guide.
Taking a look at the cables they have the flat cable design that we’ve seen in the past. As far as connectors go you have 12 SATA, 12 molex, 8 PCI-Express, 2 floppy, 2 EPS, 1 ATX, Corsair Link USB cable, and a Corsair Link connection cable.
