Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR4-3200 16GB Memory Kit Review

Final Thoughts
When you talk to most people about Corsair Dominator Series memory they say it is the best out there and after having a couple weeks with this memory and testing it out I would have to agree. The moment you pick up this memory you can tell you have a high quality product. The modules are heavy and solid, this is because they have the heavy heatsink and top bar. Not only will these provide great cooling, but the custom PCB of the memory is optimized for heat transfer.

When it comes to performance this kit is great! As a reminder this is the CMD16GX4M2B3200C16 kit which is a 16 GB (2x 8GB) kit that runs at 3200 MHz with timings of 16-18-18-36 at 1.35V. It performed great in all of our tests and currently sits as the best performing DDR4 memory kit we’ve tested to date! On top of that we were able to bring to kit up from its default speed of 3200 MHz all the way up to 3466 MHz without having to adjust timings or voltage! When it comes to DDR4 that is very impressive!

With everything RGB right now it is great to see that Corsair keeps to clean and solid look of the Dominator memory. The black PCB matched with the black heatsink and then the chrome top bar just goes together so well. You also have the white lights the emit from under the top bar. This gives these modules a little bit of style, but nothing too crazy.

When you are buying Corsair Dominator Series memory you know you are buying a premium product that is going to give you premium performance and that proved to be very true with this kit. On top of that Corsair backs this memory with a lifetime warranty. Right now the kit we reviewed today is selling at our favorite online retailer for $172.99. Overall ThinkComputers gives the Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR4-3200 16GB Memory Kit a 10 out of 10 score and our Editor’s Choice Award!
