For a full overview of the Corsair Carbide Series Air 540 Case be sure to check out our video below.
Taking a first look at the case you can see that it does not fit the traditional form factor of most cases. It is more of a cube shape. The case is mainly made up of steel and plastic. We are reviewing the newly released white version of the case, but it also comes in black.
On the front of the case towards the left you have a large honeycomb ventilated section. Behind this are two Corsair AF140L white LED fans. Moving over to the other side there are two 5.25-inch drive bays. Below those you have two USB 3.0 ports, HD audio connections, power button, hard drive activity LED and the rest button.
The honeycomb mesh section continues up to the top of the case where there are room for two 120 or 140 mm fans. By removing two thumbscrews you can easily remove the top part of the case for easy installation of fans or watercooling.
The side panel of the case features a very large window that is going to show pretty much everything inside of the case. The opposite side panel is pretty plain except for some ventilation holes towards the bottom.
Moving around to the back of the case you can get a real idea of how the case is set up. On the left side we have a large section of ventilation and our power supply mount. You can see that our power supply will be mounted vertically. On the other side there is a Corsair AF140L exhaust fan, bringing the total number of included fans with the case to 3. Your motherboard mount is on this side and there are ventilation holes on the top and side.
Both side panels feature thumbscrews for easy access into your case. The bottom of the case feature 4 large feet with rubber bottoms. There are also opening below the hard drive mounts to help with cooling.
