Silent Pro M2 1500W Overview
As I said in the intro of this review this is the largest offering in the Silent Pro M2 Series. Being 1500W as expected the unit itself is a bit longer than your traditional power supply, the actual dimensions are 150 x 220 x 86mm (5.9 x 8.6 x 3.4 inch). So before purchasing make sure that it will fit inside of your case.
On the top of the power supply is your input / output as well as some other information about the power supply. On each side of the power supply there is a Silent Pro M2 1500W logo, so not matter which way you have this power supply installed if you have a window in your case it will be visible.
The back of the power supply is ventilated to provide airflow for the included 135mm fan. Also on the back of the unit is the power connection and power switch. On the bottom of the unit is where you will find the 135mm hydraulic dynamic bearing fan. This fan will provide great cooling, while having near-silent operation.
The front of the unit is where you will find your modular connections. You have 5 connections for molex, floppy and SATA cables and three for PCIe cables. This is not a fully modular power supply so you do have cables connected to the power supply. These cables include a 24pin ATX power connector, two 8pin CPU power connectors and two PCIe 8pin connectors. The modular cables use a flat-cable design, which I am not a huge fan of, but is better than normal cables I assume. Taking a look at the cables you have a total of 12 SATA, 5 molex, 1 floppy and 6 PCIe (6+2) connectors.
