Cooler Master ROC Tablet & Notebook Stand Review

Rocks. Chances are everyone has thrown a rock at least once. When I think of a rock, the adjectives, strong, stable, and heavy, come to mind. Cooler Master’s ROC is no different, and it is highly likely that the name ROC is inspired by real rocks. While ROC is strong, stable and heavy, it is not something you throw. ROC is a stand for Apple’s highly stylized MacBook Pro and iPad devices.

Packaging & Closer Look
For a full unboxing and overview of the Cooler Master ROC be sure to check out the video below.

At first look, the top of ROC’s box might cause confusion. But as you turn the box around to the front, and sides, it all makes sense. Cooler Master has used the aforementioned panels to show ROC’s top, left, right, and front sides respectively. Its back panel lists some features such as Anti-slip rubber grips, compatible with MacBook Pro and iPad in portrait or landscape mode. Cables can still be connected to a MacBook Pro or iPad while it’s in the stand.

Sliding off the top reveals a ‘Cooler Master Purple’ inner box where ROC is supported between two plastic pieces. Getting ROC free from its packaging is simple, and it’ll immediately be apparent how well Cooler Master constructed ROC. Simply, it feels like lifting a similar sized stone.

Not only does ROC have rubber grip on the bottom, it also has weight. ROC won’t tip over from the pressure of a MacBook Pro or an iPad sitting in its deep rubber grooves.
