NotePal U3 Overview
The NotePal U3 is quite large actually at 420 x 320 x 65 mm (16.5 x 12.6 x 2.5in) and can accomodate notebooks from 15-inches all the way up to 19-inches. The NotePal is mainly made of aluminum, which is great for cooling. The entire top of the NotePal has ventilation holes in it for the 3 80mm fans.
At the bottom there is a large rubber piece that has the Cooler Master logo on it. There are 2 more smaller rubber pieces towards the top of the NotePal. These are to help your laptop from getting scratched by the aluminum.
The design of the NotePal is quite simple, the stand itself curves up and over to put your laptop at a nice angle for typing and reading the screen. The aluminum design is actually quite thin. On the backside there is a large opening for airflow and cables.
There are 2 large rubber feet that will hold the NotePal in place on your desk. Also if we flip the NotePal over you can see rubber around the curves in the back. This is because the NotePal can be used at a carrying system with your laptop using the included elastic belt.
The fan system is comprised of 3 80mm fans, a fan sleep controller clip, and a pass-through USB connector. The bottom of each of the fans has a nice fan guard on it. I really like that the USB power connector is a pass-through so you are not giving up a USB connection on your laptop.
