Cooler Master MasterCase Maker 5t Case Review

Cooler Master MasterCase Maker 5t Case Overview
The first thing that really stands out when you take a look at the MasterCase Maker 5t is its two-tone design. There is a red outline at the top part of the case and around the top handle. This is really subtle, but it stands out a lot. We will get more into the two-tone design a little bit later in this review. For those wondering Cooler Master classifies this case as a mid tower and it has official dimensions of 544 x 242 x 574 mm. The case overall has the same type of design that we saw on the original MasterCase Maker 5.

Looking at the front of the case there is a door which keeps the overall sleek look of the case intact. Towards the bottom of the front you’ll find a Cooler Master logo.

The front door rather than open to the left or right actually pulls forward as it is on a hinge on the bottom. This gives you access to the two 5.25-inch drive bays. The front door of the case has sound dampening material installed on it.

This front door of the case can easily be removed. This reveals a large filtered ventilated section. This also can easily be removed to reveal two 140mm fans. The front of the case actually has support for three 140 / 120mm fans or water cooling radiators up to 280 mm.

At the top of the case you’ll find all of your buttons and connections. There is a large power button, smaller reset button, headphone and microphone connections, fan control button (high / low), light control button (on / pulse / off), and four USB 3.0 ports.

Along the top of the case we find that handle, which is a nice addition to this case, we loved the handle on Cooler Master’s CM Storm Trooper case. This handle has a rubberized grip and is pretty heavy duty. The top of the case actually easily pulls off to reveal that the handle is in fact a metal handle, so you shouldn’t have to worry about it breaking. With the top of the case removed we can also see the top fan / radiator holder. This can hold two 120 / 140 mm fans or water cooling radiators up to 280 mm. The top part of the case has a ventilation cover that you can take off if you plan to use top cooling.

Another great added addition to this case is tempered glass side panels, not only on the made side of the case, but on the backside as well. These glass panels are full panels so you’ll be able to show off everything in your system. They are pretty dark.

Moving around to the back of the case you’ll find plenty of ventilation for the top cooling and another 140 mm cooling fan giving you a total of three included 140 mm fans with this case. At the bottom you have your power supply mount which has a removable fan filter that comes out from the bottom of the case.

Looking at the bottom of the case we can see that removable filter and the two large feet on the case. These feet are made of metal and are that sleek red color. These effectively lift the case off the ground to provide proper airflow.
