Over the past years Cooler master cases are being considered top of the line cases when it comes to performance, sizes, artistic and being moddable. Cooler Master has started showing off their latest line which is expected to come throughout the year. Most people who are into cases know that Cooler Master Cosmos II is the best cases ever built. There are rumors that these cases will be released before this year finishes.
Nanoxia is best known for their quiet PC case, but up until now they only offered larger tower case. At Computex they are showing an unnamed mini-ITX case. This is no surprise as mini-ITX systems have become extremely popular over the past year. Nanoxia says this case is designed for both air and water cooling solutions.
We were huge fans of be quiet's Dark Power Pro 10 power supplies, but since they have a high price tag many people will not get their hands on them. Be quiet! has responded to this and at Computex they were showing off a new power supply series. The Power Zone series will be a lower price point, but still keep many of the same features as the higher-end Dark Power Series.
ASRock’s Z87 OC Formula Water-proofing Demo at Computex
We know a lot about ASRock's top of the line Z87 OC Formula motherboard. It has quite a lot of features specially made for overclockers, but one that really stands out is the conformal coating on the PCB. This protects the motherboard from conductive liquids, dust, moisture, corrosion, extreme temperatures, oxygen, Ozone and UV light. At Computex ASRock had a live demo of water running over a Z87 OC Motherboard that was powered on and running!
Artist Designed ASUS TUF Series Motherboards on Display
ASUS's TUF Series of motherboards offer their Thermal Armor on both the front and back of the board. At Computex they were showing off some really cool artist-designed TUF series boards where the artists made up their own designs for the Thermal Armor. They are pretty awesome and definitely brought some attention at ASUS's booth.
In Win has been making headlines at Computex with their Tou and KingSize H-Frame cases, but they also had a new power supply on display that actually matches up pretty well with those cases. The Serenity Series power supply has a chrome brushed steel finish and offers a semi-modular design.
At Computex Intel is showing off a Prototype flash drive, which they are calling the "world's fastest thumb drive" which uses Thunderbolt technology rather than USB. The key-shaped drive carried with it a capacity of 128 GB and plugs directly into a Thunderbolt port. The drive itself is about the same size as normal USB flash drives.
Fractal Design Launches the Arc XL and Arc Mini R2 Cases
We know Fractal Design for some really sleek cases that give you great cooling options and room for a lot of storage. They have shown up at Computex with a few new cases, most notable are the new Arc XL and Arc Mini R2. The Arc XL is a full tower case and the Arc Mini R2 is a more compact mirco-ATX case.
MSI has a little teaser at their booth at Computex. While all of their other graphics cards are displayed on the wall the upcoming GeForce GTX 780 Lightning card is covered in a clouded clear box so you really cannot see it. We do not know when MSI will be releasing this card, but it should be their best GeForce GTX 780 offering to date.
The EVGA GeForce GTX 780 Hydro Copper is EVGA's liquid-ready GeForce GTX 780 offering, although it may be out of the reach of some users. I mean it does have a high price tag and you will need your own full water cooling loop to use it. Nonetheless EVGA was showing it off at Computex for all to see.
Antec Unveils High Current Pro Platinum Grid Series PSUs
Corsair is one of the only brands to offer "smart" power supplies where you can monitor various things going on within the power supply during operation. This is about to change as Antec has unveiled their first "smart" power supplies. These new power supplies are called High Current Pro Platinum Grid and will be available in 750W, 850W, 1000W, 1200W and 1300W variants.
Last year Noctua released their NH-L9 series low profile CPU coolers. They were extremely small (37mm) and offered some pretty good cooling as well. Noctua is back with a new low profile cooler that they were showing at Computex. This cooler is just a little bit bigger at 65mm high, but still will fit in compact systems pretty easily.
As we have come across a lot of new gadgets at the Computex 2013, we also hunted down two new additions of Corsair case line up, which include the new Carbide 330R and Carbide Air 540. These are basically the mid tower PC cases which include high end features that you need, designed for a great experience of gaming. They combine latest technology wand possess a great cooling system.
AMD Demos Fourth Generation Kaveri APU At Computex
AMD announced the desktop version of its newest Richland A-series processors and unveiled it to the public for the very first time their upcoming Kaveri processor at the Computex Tradeshow earlier today. Currently the company is shipping its third generation APUs (Temash, Kabini and Richland). APU which is known as the future of computing combine x86 CPU with high performance is considered to be the key strategy of AMD.
If you have still not recovered from the shock of Sony discontinuing its Z series, then it’s time to cheer up since Sony has just announced two flagship Ultrabooks which will surely compensate your loss of Z series. Vaio Pro 11 and Vaio Pro 13 are the two new models each weighing less than the Z series at 1.92 and 2.34 pounds respectively. In fact Sony confesses that it’s virtually the lightest touch screen Ultrabooks ever made. They last much longer on battery life and have an additional sheet battery that promises to double the battery life, giving 14 hours for Pro 11 and 13 hours of usage on Pro 13. Presuming both are faster having Haswell Processors.
We have been a huge fan of Avexir memory since they first came out. Their modules offer great performance, but I'm sure many of you know them for their colorful designs which will really light up the inside of your case. At Computex they are showing a few different memory modules to go with certain motherboards, of course ones that light up and a very unique PCI-Express light accessory.
When you like about all-in-one water coolers I bet Enermax is not a name you think of, but they want to change that. Their first run of liquid CPU coolers were not all that great so they have gone back to the drawing board and have come up with some new designs that they were showing off at Computex. The big change in the cooler is the new SCT (Shunt Channel Technology) which they have used in the newly redesigned blocks.
Sapphire Unveils Liquid-Cooled Radeon HD 7990 Atomic
Sapphire's Atomic branding is only for the most high-end products and they Atomic product they showed at Computex was definitely no exception. The Sapphire Radeon HD 7990 Atomic is a liquid cooled variant of AMD's latest graphics card release. The card is anything but stock, read on for all of the details.
Computex is a great show for new hardware, but it looks like a product that has not been announced yet has been spotted, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760! It is of course the little brother of the GeForce GTX 770 that was announced last week. It looks like the card was at a vendor booth at Computex.
BitFenix's Prodigy mini-ITX case is probably the most popular mini-ITX case out there. It not only has a sleek design it allows for longer graphics cards and other larger components. Mini-ITX limits you to a single graphics card so BitFenix went back and redesigned the Prodigy to support larger motherboards in the Micro-ATX form factor. At Computex they were showing off this case called the Prodigy M.
Fujitsu intros Lifebook UH90 with 3200 x 1800 IGZO Touchscreen
Last fall Fujitsu launched its Lifebook UH75 and this time it’s the UH90 (the sequel). This 14-inch portable notebook is far lighter than that of its ancestor measuring just 15.5mm in thickness and an upgraded 3200x1800p extra dense touch screen. It includes 1.6GHz Haswell processor with a hybrid hard drive of 500GB which keeps balance between the speed and storage.
ECS's LGA1150 motherboard launch was sort of boring last week, but there was a reason for that. They wanted to save their best motherboards for Computex and they have as they unveiled their flagship Z87H3-AH and Z87H3-AH Golden "Gank Machine" motherboards. The golden board of course has gold accents all around. The normal board has red and silver accents which make for a good looking board as well. Besides the different color schemes these board are identical.
Just before Computex G.SKILL decided to tease us with a little glimpse of what their new headset line would look like. Well it turns out they were actually launching not one, but two gaming headsets. These headsets include the Ripjaws R71 and Ripjaws D71 and we have to say they do look pretty awesome!
Sony makes us lucky again. Thanks for the leaked videos on YouTube; we already knew there was something cooking at Sony’s end. Here we are with the announcement of the new Sony Vaio Duo 13 giving slider another shot. We hope this model becomes a market success after the failure of its ancestor model Vaio Duo 11 which was merely too high in price and had a real poor battery life. Company promises to mend the earlier mistakes and compensate the users.
Antec has had some pretty large cases in the past but at Computex they were showing off their largest case to date. The Nineteen Hundred Super Tower stands two feet tall! Being this large of a case of course you have room for larger motherboards like HPTX and E-ATX, but of course it supports normal ATX motherboards as well. You will get nine expansion slots with this case.
All-in-one closed loop water cooling systems for video cards are out there, but normally they are part of a special edition card much like ASUS's ARES II or cards featuring Arctic's Accelero Hybrid cooling solution. NZXT wants to change things with their new cooling adapter for video cards. It can take any Asetek-made all-in-one CPU watercooling system and make it work on your graphics card!
Antec Kühler H2O 1250 and 650 CPU Coolers Introduced
While Antec may have been one of the first to get into the all-in-one cooling game, their units proved to be "just ok" and nothing to really write home about. Well at Computex this are unveiling two new all-in-one watercooling unit, the Kühler H2O 1250 and Kühler H2O 650. Both coolers support the latest CPU socket types which include LGA115x, LGA1366, LGA2011, AM3+/AM3, and FM2/FM1.
While many people have been going nuts over In Win's Tou case, the case manufacturer also had another cool case on display at Computex. The original H-Frame was a great case, but many people were asking for a larger case for watercooling setups and just more room overall. In Win has granted their wish with the KingSize H-Frame Full Tower Case.
Thermaltake has their Level 10 Cases, Level 10 M gaming mouse and now they have the Level 10 M gaming headset. It has just been unveiled at Computex Taipei! The Level 10 M headset has been designed in conjunction with BMW DesignworksUSA. Thermaltake says the Level 10 M Headset "inherits the expressive design spirit, with outstanding acoustic engineering as the frequency and the pitch of the sound driver are tuned specifically to meet most game genres’ environment, ensuring the gamers receive the most immersive, rich acoustic experience."
ASUS Maximus VI Formula Motherboard Unveiled and Detailed
When ASUS announced their Republic of Gamers Z87 motherboards there was one missing, a Formula board. ASUS told us it would be coming, but we did not know when or why they didn't just announce it. They wanted to announce it at Computex and go over many of its new exclusive features. It is one good looking motherboard!
It seems like Toshiba has its own charm by doing it three times. Earlier it was the “thrive” series and then coming up a bit short with it’s the “Excite” line. The company has completely replaced it with three new models which include Excite pure, Excite pro and Excite Write sharing almost the same body and dimensions.
ASUS Unveils Poseidon Formula 1 Ultimate Gaming Machine
ASUS could not get enough from Computex and has revealed its ultimate gaming machine called the Poseidon Formula 1. Boarding the top ROG’s gaming hardware and showing off the new Poseidon GTX 700 series GPU. It combines NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX 700 graphics series with a hybrid cooling system along with ASUS CoolTech combining lower and axial fans enclosed in one design, thrusting air over the heatsink in a numerous directions.
We have not heard much from Crucial lately, but they do have some good announcements coming out of Computex this week. They have announced new additions to their Ballistix performance memory product family. These new additions include Crucial Ballistix Sport XT DDR3 memory kits and Crucial Ballistix Sport SODIMMs.
Over the past year In Win has gone away from the ordinary with their cases. The H-Frame and and D-Frame are perfect examples of that. Well today at Computex they are showing off another radical case in the Tou, which is made of an aluminum frame and skinned in transparent 3M safety class. You really have to see this case to appreciate it!
ASUS Unveils Maximus VI Impact Mini-ITX Motherboard
We thought we knew all of ASUS's Republic of Gamers motherboards for Haswell, but it looks like ASUS had a very special one hiding. Announced today at Computex was the ASUS Republic of Gamers Maximus VI Impact motherboard and yes it is a mini-ITX motherboard! Read on as we have all of the details!
We know Corsair for many different types of products these days from cases and gaming peripherals, but they started out as a memory company and still make memory to this day. At Computex Corsair has announced a new memory kit series in the Vengeance Pro Series of DDR3 memory kits.
When it comes to processor makers we all know Intel is the kind when it comes to desktop processors, but when it comes to the processors you will find in your mobile devices like smartphones ARM rules the game. They have just announced their latest Cortex-A12 processor which they say is "a generation ahead of Intel's Atom".
Back in 2010 NZXT released a case that would become one of their most popular cases of all time, the Phantom. The Phantom was truly a unique case and now NZXT is presenting its direct successor in the Phantom 530. While one the outside the Phantom 530 looks much like the original Phantom inside you will find many of the latest features NZXT has been showcasing on their latest cases.
Dell Announces the XPS 11 Laptop / Tablet Convertible
There are quite a few different form factors when it comes to today's computing needs. You have laptops, smartphones and tablets. While many companies offer those types of devices companies like Lenovo have come up with devices like the Yoga which is a sleek convertible. Well it looks like Dell is getting into the convertible mix with the XPS 11 Convertible.
ASUS is showing off their brand new Zenbook Infinity Ultrabook at Computex in Taipei. This Ultrabook has some really great features. The two big ones are that it will be based off Intel's newly released 4th generation Haswell processors and that it sports Gorilla Glass 3.
A couple of days ago ASUS announced the 31.5-inch PQ31 4K Ultra HD gaming monitor, but it looks like they have an even bigger Ultra HD Display. At Computex they took the 39-inch 4K Ultra HD display out for just a little bit and some photos were taken, this thing is huge!
The Mini-ITX form factor has been extremely popular lately since it is so compact, but still offers great features. MSI has introduced three new LGA1150 Haswell mini-ITX motherboards that are basically the same, but they will be running on different chipsets. These motherboards include the Z87I, B85I and the H87I.
Corsair is showing off a pretty cool case at Computex and something quite different. The Corsair Obsidian Air 540D is a cube-style case that is actually split into two parts. On the left side you have your motherboard and video cards and on the right you have the rest of your components. It is pretty radical, check out the photos!
ASUS Unveils Off Republic of Gamers GTX 770 Poseidon
ASUS has had some pretty cool video card designs over the past couple of years. These include the ARES line and the GeForce GTX 670 DirectCU Mini. The same team that was behind the DirectCU Mini card has a new card that they are showing off at Computex this week. It is the Republic of Gamers GeForce GTX 770 Poseidon, which features a very unique hybrid cooling design.
Want to talk about some fast memory? How about 3000 MHz memory? Well G.SKILL has just announced their fastest DDR3 memory kit. The 32GB (8GBx4) TridentX DDR3 kit operates at 3000 MHz with timings of 12-14-14-35 at 1.65V. This new kit is designed for the latest 4th Generation Intel Core processors and the Z87 chipset.
NZXT has just announced the first new product they will be showcasing at Computex! It is the H230 Silent case. This mid tower case has a great sleek design, which we have become accustomed to from NZXT. They tell us the designers of the case had one goal in mind when creating this case: create an affordable, silent chassis with all of the necessary essentials for a clean, functional build.
It looks like Cougar is will be launching a gaming peripheral line at Computex next week! They are following suite as G.Skill announced they will be announcing gaming products as well. We mainly know Cougar for their cases and power supplies, but now we can add gaming keyboard and mice to the mix. Cougar explains this is an "important milestone for the brand".
