CM Storm Xornet II Gaming Mouse Review

CM Storm Xornet II Mouse Overview
Taking a first look at the Xornet II it is smaller than most mice we’ve seen lately. The official dimensions are 105.4 x 76.6 x 37.2 mm (4.15 x 3.01 x 1.46 inch) and it weighs in at 132 g. It definitely has a wider shape to it than most most as it is designed for a claw grip.

Taking a look at the mouse from a different view we can see that the right side of the mouse is extended for the claw grip. Obviously this mouse is made to be used with your right hand.

On the top of the mouse you have your two main left and right mouse buttons, a scroll wheel, and up and down buttons. The two main mouse buttons use Omron switches so you know they are going to last a long time. The scroll wheel has a rubber coating on it so you have a good grip. The scroll wheel has an RGB LED inside it which can be controller via the CM Storm software.

On the opposite side of the mouse there are no buttons, but there is another rubber grip. So in total we have 7 programmable buttons if we could the scroll wheel click.

Flipping the mouse over there are two large mouse feet that will help the mouse glide on your gaming surface. In the center we see the optical sensor which is the Avago 3320 which allows for DPIs up to 3500.

The USB cable is a simple rubber cable, no gold-plating on the connector either. This is expected as this is more of a budget mouse.
