Cherry MX Board 6.0 Keyboard Review

Setup & Lighting
This keyboard is completely plug and play so you can just plug it into your PC and you are good to go. Once plugged in your will notice that the Windows key, function key, and number lock key light up blue. So unlike many keyboards were you have LEDs on the top of the board for caps lock, scroll lock, and number lock these keys will change color to let you know if they are active or not. For these keys blue means they are active. So the function key is always active and to turn the Windows key off you press the Cherry button at the top of the keyboard. Once inactive it will turn red or off if you don’t have any backlighting on.

To turn the backlighing on you can press any of the backlighting buttons on the top of the keyboard. Using the large increment buttons there are 10 different brightness levels. The backlighting at its brightest is actually quite bright, I preferred to have it at level 8. The small increment buttons allow you to really fine-tune where you want to lighting to be. Below is a shot of the backlighting at its lowest level, and then again at its highest.
