Back at E3 AMD released both their FX-9590 and FX-9370 processors. Both of these processors can be clocked up to 4.5 GHz, but the FX-9590 can be clocked all the way up to 5 GHz! Of course with that high clock speed you are going to have a high price and up until recently the FX-9590 was around $899-999. UK-based retailer AriaPC has slashed the prices of the FX-9590 and they are now selling it for only £299.99!

It seems that the National Security Agency (NSA) has been in the new a lot lately, especially after the leak of the PRISM operation by Edward Snowden. After that leak many people are paranoid especially given the facts, but now there are rumors for reliable sources that the NSA could be implanting permanent backdoors in both Intel and AMD chips.
According to a report on CNET, Google is preparing a new type of encryption on its Google Drive files that prevents the NSA and other intelligence organizations from accessing the files. Google is doing this to increase user privacy of its cloud storage and synchronization service.
AMD recently posted their quarterly financial results, and well they are still losing money. On the bright side though they are not losing as much compared to previous quarters. Is AMD finally turning things around and going to become profitable? AMD thinks so and they believe that they can turn profitable by September 30th of this year.
Benchmarks of Intel’s upcoming Ivy Bridge-E socket 2011 flagship processor, the Core i7-4960X have surfaced over at Tom’s Hardware. They have already scored an engineering sample of the new chip and have run it through quite a few different benchmarks as well as comparing it to previous Intel generations and AMD’s current generation of chips. These include the i7-3970X, i7-4770K, i7-3770K, i7-2700K, FX-8350, and A10-5800K.
According to some information posted on the Chiphell forums, AMD could have possibly sent our engineering samples of their upcoming next generation flagship graphics card, the Radeon HD 9970. The card is question has been sent out to AiB partner Sapphire. If this turns out to be true we could see these cards as early as October!
