It looks like AMD is readying a new SKU to take advantage of the pricing gap between the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 and GTX 970. This will be the R9 380X and it will be based on the 28nm “Tonga” silicon. The R9 380X is likely to max out the specifications on the “Tonga” silicon, offering 2048 stream processors, 128 TMUs, 32 ROPs, and a 384-bit wide GDDR5 interface that can hold either 3GB or 6GB of memory.

The Star Wars Battlefront BETA will begin next month and EA and DICE have been giving details on the different modes of the games. The Drop Zone mode is the latest that has been detailed by EA and it is quite similar to “King of the Hill”-style experiences, the objective in Drop Zone centers on drop pods falling through the atmosphere onto the planet surfaces. In tight 8-versus-8 matches, Rebel and Empire teams fight to capture and control these pods.
