Don’t get your hopes up NVIDIA is not coming out with an AIO cooling version of their GeForce GTX 980 graphics card. Japanese system builder Sycom decided to take matters into their own hands and have cut a corner out of the shroud on a reference GeForce GTX 980, removed the heatsink and replaced it with the Asetek 740GN water cooling unit.
EVGA is prepping two of their most powerful cards to date, the GeForce GTX 980 Classified and the GeForce GTX 980 Hydro Copper. These two cards will make their way to store shelves very shortly for enthusiasts around the world.
Samsung today announced the SD590C curved monitor. AMD held their annual event over the weekend in Japan. At the event the company revealed to journalists a number of different exciting plans in a round table discussion. The most exciting of these was that AMD is prepping a Radeon R9 380X model that will be available as soon as February if plans go well.
ECS has just launched the Z97I-DRONE and H97I-DRONE mini-ITX LGA1150 motherboards. These motherboards were first unveiled at Computex and we later got to go hands on with them at an ECS press event last month. The two motherboards are pretty much identical to each other except for the two different chipsets.
GELID has just unveiled their latest CPU cooler, the SnowStorm. This cooler contains an optimized compact heatsink with 3 power heatpipes and a 92mm fan with PWM function. The cooler is a product of GELID Solutions SILENT product line, so as you can guess it is made to be quiet.
We had mentioned that NVIDIA could be possibly be working on a higher-end graphics card in the 900 series after the GTX 980. Word that MSI was holding off on releasing the GTX 980 Lightning card backed up the rumors of a higher-end card. Well it looks like we do have some leaked details on NVIDIA’s GM200 GPU which these high-end cards will be based off of!
Lian Li gave a little sneak peak of a new open-air chassis that they are working on. It is still a work in progress and Lian Li is actually seeking feedback, but the most interesting thing about the case is that it can be wall-mounted!
Deepcool entered the AiO cooling market with their Maelstrom series, which has done very well. Now Deepcool is back with a brand new AiO liquid CPU cooler series called Captain, which has a pretty unique design that we haven’t seen before on an AiO cooler.
