I’m sure many of you have heard of CAT, you know the company that makes construction and industrial equiptment. Well did you know they have a phone division as well? At CES CAT showed us their brand new B100 phone. This phone is designed to withstand the rigors of the real world.

CAT B100 Phone

Working on a construction site or someplace similar can be a hard place to have a phone, not only because most phones will break, but also because most phones are not designed with good speakers to use in speakerphone mode. This is a rugged phone so it is designed to survive a 1.8meter drop, being submerged in up to one meter of water for 30 minutes and can even withstand temperatures from -25C to 55C.

On top of that the B100 has larger buttons which are ideal when wearing gloves. There is a high quality loudspeaker for taking calls in loud environments. The B100 has a battery life of 10 hours which is great for long days on the job site. The B100 has a 2.2-inch screen and a 3MP camera on the back. The B100 is currently available in the UK and CAT soon hopes to partner with US carriers.

For those looked for more of a smartphone CAT was also showing their B15 smartphone. This phone features the same rugged features like IP67 certification, waterproof with wet finger tracking, and impact scratch resistant.
