Black Mesa Launches September 14th

I’m sure many have you played Half Life or Half Life: Source. Launching September 14th is Black Mesa, an re-imagining of the original 1998 game Half Life. The game will be free and is based off Valve’s own Source Engine. The first release will feature up to 10 hours of gameplay, improved graphics and much more. If you were ever a fan of the Half Life series then this is definitely a game you are going to want to check out. As I said the game will be free, but you will need a copy of any Source Engine game to play it.

“On September 14th you will see the first release of Black Mesa! This will include our re-envisioning of Half-Life all the way up to Lambda Core. We believe this is a great way to provide a complete-feeling 8-10 hour experience with a solid ending, make our fans happy and help us make the best overall game possible.” Black Mesa project leader, Carlos Montero, stated in a forum post.

Black Mesa has been 8 years in the making after it was first announced after Valve’s own Half Life: Source received negative reviews and feedback from gamers. So will you be playing Black Mesa on the 14th? I’m sure we will, maybe even stream it for you guys!
