First Looks
The BFG EX 1000W doesn’t have much separating it from its bretheren or competitors visually: it’s a standard black unit. The BFG reticle logo is on the outward facing side, and the output table is on the top. The rear has a power rocker switch and is honeycombed for optimal airflow. The bottom of the unit as a reflective BFG logo at the center of the unit’s primary cooling device, a 135 mm intake fan.
While some PSU makers use color coded connectors or distinctly shaped connectors for each type of modular cable connector, BFG went with text labels and 6- and 8-pin connectors. All of the cables are sleeved for curved airflow and there is a protective ring around the permanent cable egress hole. In addition to the 20+4-pin motherboard and 4- and 8-pin CPU connector, there are three 6-pin PCI-Express connectors, three 6+2-pin PCI Express connectors, six 4-pin device connectors, two floppy connectors, and twelve SATA connectors.

Would have been great if they only had the 24-pin, 8-pin, and PCIe cables directed connected.

Dislike the quad rail design, however gives more than enough power for most users
Agreed, a single rail would have been much better.

i think that BFG Tech has taken a whole new approach to computer power supplies with the EX Series. … If so, please take a few moments to write your rating!
