Dark Power Pro 10 Overview
The Dark Power Pro 10 is a really sexy looking power supply. It just has that sleek overall look to it, which I really like. The thing that really caught my attention when I took the Dark Power Pro 10 out of the box was the fan grill. Instead of using a normal grill they use metal bars that go across the power supply horizontally. This power supply does feature be quiet’s own 135mm SilentWings cooling fan. These fans are made to be quiet (no pun intended) and that is going to make for almost silent operation of the power supply.
On each side of the power supply is a large Dark Power Pro logo that also lets us know the wattage of the unit and that it is 80PLUS Gold certified. For those who do not know 80PLUS certifications off hand 80PLUS gold means 87% efficient at 20% load, 90% efficient at 50% load and 87% efficient at 100% load. On the top of the unit you have a sticker that has your input and output graphs on it.
The back of the unit has a honeycomb design, which will help with cooling. Of course you have your power connection and power button on the back as well. You will also notice a rubber sleeve on the back of the power supply, this will cut down on vibration noise caused by the unit. Moving around to the front of the unit you will find off of your modular connections and connected 24pin ATX power connector. All of the modular connections are labeled and you also have 4 fan connectors as well as the OCK connection. The power connection is sleeved all the way into the unit and has a rubber insert on the opening.
As far as modular connections go there are quite a lot. Check out the two photos below to see what all cables are included. I was actually quite surprised at how many cables were included for only a 550W power supply.
